Requirements & Skills

• Proven experience as a Surgical Technologist, preferably in specialty surgical areas
• Comprehensive knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and sterile techniques
• Ability to maintain strict aseptic technique and handle surgical equipment properly
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary surgical team
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
• Compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments and assembling supplies in accordance with surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and other personnel during surgical operations by passing instruments and anticipating procedural needs
• Ensure maintenance of a sterile environment throughout all phases of surgery
• Handle specimens and ensure proper labeling and documentation
• Conduct inventory and restock operating room supplies as needed
• Adhere to all safety protocols and report any equipment malfunctions or procedural irregularities promptly
• Collaborate effectively with surgical team members to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
• Prior experience in a specialty surgical setting highly valued
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and staff
• Commitment to maintaining patient safety and confidentiality
